It took six weeks before a response to my application was sent. Then, an informal chat with the new boss (at least, that is what he mentioned; this turned out to be a formal meeting). Two one-hour meetings with potential colleagues followed, which were very pleasant and informative. One 15-minute Skype chat with Human Resources concluded the process.

The offer they made was very low and 100% within the salary scale. That was not realistic and offered very little opportunity for growth. They refused to take an alternative offer into consideration.

The salary was very low, far too low for a highly educated Master Black Belt with 15+ years of experience in high tech. Other companies in the region pay much more.

I think they want to benefit from their name and high-tech environment. If the salary had been acceptable, I probably would have accepted their offer.
