It was the first interview with a group leader. He asked basic questions to check understanding of general principles in optics and signal analysis. For example, he asked me to solve a school problem: the formation of an image in a lens. We also talked about interference and diffraction. The position I applied for did not require knowledge in optics, but it was related to the job.
