Pros: - Super interesting industry. - Work on a product that is the single most important piece of the chip manufacturing process and therefore one of the most important technologies of our time. - Nice workplace and people. - A lot of holidays.

Cons: - The software process is clunky and outdated, which leads to a lot of lost time and frustration. - There's a humongous amount of technical debt in the codebase with little care for good software engineering practices. - Old language versions, old compilers, and old tools in general. It's not just a matter of the age of the technology itself; newer tools bring many features that make engineers more productive. - Compensation is not great in general. It's bad in comparison with top tech companies. And when you factor in the Dutch government's hunger for your hard-earned money, it gets even worse.
