Two rounds. The first was with the SCRUM master and the manager, and the second was with the technical lead. The interview went really well. My background seemed to match perfectly with what they were looking for. I had answers for all of the questions that I was asked.
The only odd question was if I would feel comfortable as a woman working with a team of all men. I thought this was a little odd to ask. I have been working in the software engineering industry for 8+ years. I knew what I was getting into.
I worked with a recruitment agency that also had a good feeling after the interviews. However, I received an email about a week later from the recruiter that noted ASML did not want to proceed with hiring me because they were looking for someone "more senior". I was a little shocked. I wish there was more of an explanation.
How would you feel as a woman working with a team of all men?
