The company mindset is very old-fashioned.
Appraisals and promotions are mostly based on time and not on merits.
In the software area, issues are neglected until they become urgent. This causes artificial stress on the teams assigned to solve them.
Change your mindset. Slow down on new development and attend to current defects will eventually speed up the company's growth.
