A very high-tech product, but not so much with the technologies and processes
- Super interesting industry.
- Work on a product that is the single most important piece of the chip manufacturing process and therefore one of the most important technologies of our time.
- Nice workplace and people.
- A lot of holidays.

The software process is clunky and outdated, which leads to a lot of lost time and frustration.

There's a humongous amount of technical debt in the codebase with little care for good software engineering practices.

Old language versions, old compilers, and old tools in general. It's not just a matter of the age of the technology itself; newer tools bring many features that make engineers more productive.

Compensation is not great in general. It's bad in comparison with top tech companies. And when you factor in the Dutch government's hunger for your hard-earned money, it gets even worse.
Please give more attention to the software process, tools, and practices. You're going to lose a lot of good, talented engineers if you keep relegating software to the back of the line.
