Cons

Leadership ability to use both human and financial capital for growth.

Advice to Management

Instead of focusing on benefit elimination and headcount reduction, do your job.

I watched leadership get compensated for:

  • Agreeing to a $4B cash penalty associated with a failed T-Mobile merger.
  • Losing over $40B with the DTV acquisition and commensurate fire sale 3 years later.
  • Selling $120B in Time Warner assets at a 30% loss.

I watched John Stankey say in a public forum to all retirement-eligible employees that we were, quote, “just collecting pension and accruing benefits.” I would never work for such a pathetic leader.
