Very easy internship. I screwed around quite a bit and had very positive reviews at the end. The expectations are set extremely low for TDP interns.
I did not get paid very much money. Although interns were put on "real projects," they were assigned the most boring possible tasks on the project. This is pretty typical of software internships, but I thought it was an especially big problem at AT&T.
I was lucky enough to have work to do every day. A lot of the other interns spent almost their entire summer waiting for more assignments from their team.
I gained very little relevant experience from my time at AT&T.
I chose to work at AT&T over a few other offers that paid more because I thought the recognizable name on the resume would help me get interviewed by more prestigious software companies in the future.
Gaining good experience is a lot more important than a recognizable name, and if I could go back, I would have taken one of my other offers.
Very easygoing, kind of informal, but that depends on who is interviewing you. The guy I had was from a third-party hiring company that AT&T uses, and he was super talkative. My interview went overtime by 30 minutes because he was telling me about hi
Asked questions on PySpark and Azure services, focusing more on Azure questions as it is an Azure migration project from on-prem. Questions on Spark, Hive, SQL, functions, and PL/SQL queries.
The interview started from HR. The reception area was crowded, and the room where the interview was performed felt hot. The interviewers came in one by one; there were 5 in total, and each took around 40 minutes. Some of them hadn't seen my resume, w
