Pros

Decent benefits and management is understanding when it comes to work and family issues.

Decent pay and working environment.

Allows you to blend work and family very well.

Cons

Nepotism, no promotions and progressions for years and years. Regardless of your capability, unless you have someone watching out for you, you will be buried. The way you are judged is purely on perception and no version of reality.

There is such a thick culture that the employees are just numbers and not appreciated. Lack of teamwork is rampant. Turfism between managers is rampant. Need I go on?

Advice to Management

Open your eyes and see how to promote from within, and see the value your employees provide. Cultivate and foster the desire to succeed.

Top to bottom, too many layers of incompetent managers rule with an iron fist. Weed out these second and third-level managers who use fear as a "coaching" technique.
