Pros

The opportunity to retire or quit.

Cons

This is a company that structured itself to establish virtual organizations – a boss in one place with staff distributed across many sites. After this was done, the travel budget was slashed, making it impossible to develop any form of professional relationship.

Also, at One AT&T Center in St. Louis, management turned off every other ceiling light to save money; trash is picked up every five business days, and the restrooms may or may not get cleaned. But at least they say they value their employees.

Advice to Management

Tell people the truth. For some reason, common decency is removed from the brain of anyone getting past executive director level.
