Pros

I had a great salary and benefits (though they no longer provide a pension). There were great education opportunities and great vacation days (with years of experience).

Cons

Cutthroat. I got laid off, which was the best outcome out of our group. Six months later, the entire org up to VP was "outsourced" to another company with no notice and became contractors with a 1-year contract. Their benefits were slashed; many lost out on the last years of their pension vesting. The practice of moving employees to contractors with no notice is a deep-set practice within the company.

Advice to Management

Treat your people well, dammit.
