Backend Developer Interview Experience - Sydney, Australia
Process
I was contacted by a recruitment firm based out of Sydney, who have an exclusive contract with Atlassian. The role is for a "Backend Developer" - contract job.
Total 2 rounds:
- First round: Mainly focused on Atlassian Core values and a simple Java program.
- Second round: Pair programming to solve a problem – an API rate limiter.
I had a very bad experience with the interview process. I followed up with the recruitment firm many times, but there has been no response or feedback on the interviews so far.
In fact, I had a very similar experience two years ago with the Atlassian interview process. I guess certain things about a company never change.
