Data Architect Interview Experience - Austin, Texas

Process

I had a phone screen with the recruiter, followed by a video interview. I was then called for an onsite interview that lasted almost 3 hours, plus commute time (1 hour).

What was baffling is that after asking me to invest all this time, they somehow decided to upgrade the position to a Solution Architect. They never interviewed me from that perspective, even though in my current daily job, that's what I usually do: Solution + Enterprise Architecture.

On following up with the recruiter that I could still be a good fit, given that no one interviewed me from that perspective, I did not receive any reply.

My advice to the Atlassian team would be to be mindful of others' time. You are not the only people whose time is precious.

Unprofessional and a bad experience. The outcome would have been acceptable to me had they found a better candidate than me.
