Reached out by HR and the hiring manager within a few weeks. The initial calls went fine, followed by a face-to-face interview with the hiring manager's "go-to" people. The process was fine, but the interviewers seemed junior.
Questions
The issue with the IT department is that the interviewers for the role were more junior and not experienced enough to interview a high-level candidate. They expected end-to-end solutions to help them, which is practically free consulting and not a job interview (we do not do that). Communication issues were a problem, and the breadth of their experience was limited in understanding the recommendations.

I am not opposed to performance management, but Atlassian has some severe flaws in their current approach that I believe will negatively impact the company's performance in the long term.
