About two days after that, I received an email from a recruiter stating that I would receive an online coding test request.
The coding test, sent via HackerRank, was active for 7 days. It was a timed, 90-minute test with 5 questions. All questions were algorithm-based.
Questions
Implement a method find that will locate the starting index (zero-based) where the second list occurs as a sub-list within the first list. It should return -1 if the sub-list cannot be found. Arguments are always provided and are never empty.
Sample Input 1:
list1 = (1, 2, 3)
list2 = (2, 3)
Sample Output 1:
1
Explanation:
Because the second list (2, 3) is a sub-list in the first list (1, 2, 3) at index 1.
Sample Input 2:
list1 = (1, 2, 3)
list2 = (3, 2)
