I had two rounds of interviews at Atlassian, after which I received an email stating they would not be proceeding further with my application.
The quality of the interviewers in both rounds was pretty bad.
Round 1 - Coding round:
The interviewer gave me a problem to solve and muted himself most of the time. He was not saying anything and not even answering my queries properly. Still, I was able to solve the question in the best way possible.
Round 2 - Code design round:
I was given the task to write a Rate Limiter, which they do most of the time. Unlike what the name suggests, it was not a code design round but a coding round where they judged me on program correctness rather than LLD. I provided an implementation of a Rate Limiter based on the sliding window algorithm, but the interviewer asked me to implement the token bucket algorithm, which he was familiar with. All the time, the interviewer behaved as if he was the smartest person. He was not collaborative and not open to solutions he did not know.
I wonder how a company with such a good rating on Glassdoor has such poor interviewers.
Hopefully, the people viewing this post do not encounter such interviewers at Atlassian. Good luck.
