I was contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn for a senior software engineer position. The recruiter told me to apply via the Principal job listing while they were finalizing the senior position internally.
I agreed and went through the process, passing three technical interviews (one Karat and two Atlassian coding interviews). After that, the recruiter told me that Atlassian had decided to move this position to a different country. They asked if I would agree to relocate to the said country to continue the process.
Seriously, how can a company at the level of Atlassian be this unprofessional?
All the people I met during my interviews, including the recruiter, were really nice people. However, it is still so annoying and ridiculous that they made me go through the entire process and waste my personal time for a role they hadn't even finalized.
