Process

Two HR interviews, two live coding interviews.

In the end, the HR representative explained what went well during the interview and what could be improved.

First coding interview: I managed to implement half of the problem because I misinterpreted some requirements.

Second coding interview: I finished earlier with a solution.

Should I get another chance, how would I approach it to pass the first two stages of the interview?

Problems are of easy-medium complexity. Even for this complexity, one needs a bit of practice to ensure "hiccups" are avoided. Also, I think this is the type of interview where you get something easy to do, and in the end, the interviewer does not expect to give you hints.

In a funny way, Atlassian advertises this the other way around, like: you need to communicate as much as possible to reach a solution. This looks like a trap.

Regarding the open-book interview, I would advise not to use the internet too much. I looked something up on the internet, and it was mentioned as a bad point in the feedback; again, a trap.

PS: Make sure you have only your IDE open while having your screen-sharing session, as some interviewers are super picky.
