Process

The interview process was structured and streamlined.

Ample time was given for preparation.

Since they receive a huge volume of applicants, it is sometimes difficult to get a prompt response from the recruiter. However, they make sure to respond, even if there is some marginal delay.

Questions

Two screening rounds:

  1. Code design round:
  • Design and code an API rate limiter. The expectation was to create a Java Maven project for this and run a simple JUnit test for the implementation.
  1. Given a list of candidates, find the sole winner. To handle ties, the candidate (among those with the same vote count) who received the highest votes first should be declared the winner.

Example: String[] candidates = {"A", "C", "E", "B", "A", "B", "C", "B", "D", "B", "A"}; Method to be exposed: String findWinner(String[] candidates); This should return "B".

Advice: Keep space and time complexity to a minimum. You could lose points if the space or time complexity is high.
