Process
This is a terrible company. I was called for the pair coding round. I felt I did well in the interview, and the interviewer seemed happy. However, just an hour or so later, I received an email from the recruiter stating they were not moving forward, with no feedback provided. I called HR, and she said she would let me know, which never happened. I recommend not wasting your time interviewing with them.

Atlassian Work Experiences
- 5.0Great Pay, Brutal ReviewsSoftware Engineer • Former EmployeeSydney, New South Wales, AustraliaMarch 11, 2021Pros: Equities, good salary, free food, and parties.Cons: Performance reviews are openly brutal.
- 3.0Great work-life balance, remote policy. However, the culture shift is making things worseSoftware Engineer • Current EmployeeSan Francisco, California, United StatesSeptember 23, 2024Pros: WLB is great. Pretty hard to get hold of people outside 9am-6pm. Current TEAM Anywhere policy allows you to work completely remotely, completely in-office, or hybrid. You choose.Cons: - Company has been cutting/downgrading certain benefits because "they aren't industry standard." - Culture is pivoting to a "move fast, break stuff" type culture where PR count and # of lines of code are prioritized, and employees are stack-ranked for PIP. - Company likes to parrot its five values, and it used to closely adhere to them, but with the aforementioned culture pivot, they haven't been following them as closely.
- 5.0Very healthy workplaceSoftware Engineer • Current EmployeeMay 12, 2022Pros: - Very good work-life balance. - The company is very thoughtful about its employees' mental health.Cons: The compensation can be more competitive.
