Great teammates and interesting projects. Atlassian uses the best technologies to improve the quality of its software and isn't afraid of shaking the boat and changing things quickly to correct errors and make improvements.
The company values need to change.
Atlassian has outgrown the values, but never got around to changing them. Managers play a big role in promotions, leading to hypocrisy, bias, and ultimately leaving your career up to the whims and interpretations of your manager rather than up to your performance and how well you meet and exceed expectations.
There are more layers of management than necessary.
Atlassian is too hierarchical, thus diminishing the potential of talented people due to slow decision-making and incompetent managers. Reduce the layers of management and let the best ideas win.
