Process

  1. Questions were asked to demonstrate that the interviewer knew more. Every valid answer, regardless of whether it was what the interviewer wanted to hear, was sarcastically dismissed.

  2. Interviewers laughed after asking me to review a question. They smirked and maintained this demeanor throughout the entire interview.

  3. The interviewers seemed to have entered with the intention of not hiring.

  4. From an entire code block on the board, the software architect found an issue with the use of this.var instead of this->var, treating it as the biggest issue in programming. I suspect they have never used languages like Java and have only used C++.

  5. There were no questions about Data Structures, Algorithms, Design, or Prototyping for a senior position. Instead, their concern was solely with constructors. I later discovered they had quickly referred to some IBM questions and pasted them in at the last moment.

This kind of environment can only demotivate and kill your energy during an interview. If this is the work culture there, I would not recommend anyone to apply.
