One manager contacted me by phone and we had a discussion for a few minutes. He just asked about me. He asked if I would like to shift to Singapore and what my notice period would be. He also asked for three strong points and three weak points about myself.
Then there was no contact for about 15 days. I thought he didn't like me based on the above short discussion.
One day, he called me again and asked to schedule a technical interview. I asked him to schedule it for a few days later. He then insisted why it couldn't be on the next day. So I agreed, and I was interviewed the next day without any preparation.
The technical interview started with my projects. Then we discussed C++ (virtual functions, copy constructor, assignment operator, STL, templates). I was not able to answer questions on STL and templates. They asked if I had worked on UI and if I knew MFC. I replied that I had worked on UI but had never used MFC and described the UICOMP framework to them. They asked me to do one code review and to write two programs (the desktop was shared):
The technical interview was about 1.5 hours.
