Flexible work hours. Nice people in general. Interesting, not cool, but interesting products. Decent cafeteria food. Bring your dog to work allowed.
All I tell my friends and colleagues is stay away from the pit that is the IT department.
It's a poisoned atmosphere, not a fun place to work, and they are rather unforgiving of the slightest mistakes.
PILOTs and firings occur regularly.
Fascinating how anyone makes it there for 5 years.
Managers are not really good managers or mentors, and watch your back with the employees; they are after you too!
I was told you have to move around a lot to stay alive there.
Glad I didn't stay to find out.
Change the place to a more humane place to work.
Allow for learning moments, and get rid of the budget police. Why does a manager spend one-third of their time managing a budget at all?
Strange place.
First interview over the phone and 4 rounds of in-person interviews. Standard questions on the Roadrunner tool and some coding questions. Interviewers are professional and very engaging through the process. In-person interviews could be coordinated
Straightforward on-site interview after phone interview. Offered after two weeks from the on-site interview.
Lots of calls. Met people, not necessarily "meat people" (as in, core staff), but I did not have to take a test. I met people who were in the department. Had to go to San Rafael for the final interview. Lots of calls.
