Process

I was contacted by an internal bank recruiter on a Monday. I had applied online for the position about one or two weeks earlier.

She informed me that the position would entail working remotely. I live in Charlotte, NC, and the hiring manager lived in Tampa, FL.

There was one phone interview scheduled for a Wednesday afternoon. Also on this call were three other members of the team I would be working on.

The interview lasted about an hour to an hour and a half. I was basically asked about my background. I was asked if I felt I could work as part of a remote team.

I had to detail how I would handle certain problems, such as dealing with a manager who wanted me to perform a function I was not allowed to perform.

I left the interview feeling encouraged, as I thought I had done a good job. I called the bank recruiter the next Friday to check the status and see if they needed any more information.

I was told then that they were going to be submitting an offer to me later that afternoon.
