Cons: Small changes can take a lot of effort to be delivered. Do not get to work on the cutting edge of technology.

Pros: Flexible workplace and good benefits.

Cons: Worked off-hours, 24/7. Needed to be on call any time.

Pros: - Benefits don't compare to anywhere else (4 weeks paid vacation, bank funded HSA, family leave, etc.). - Given just enough independence to make your own decisions, but they will also be quick to blame you. - Can be a good place to work depending on the group you are in.

Cons: - No advancement opportunity within the group, and they won't let you change groups if you become a key resource. - "Fire drills" and getting thrown under the bus are a regular occurrence. - Additional responsibilities are given with no pay adjustment (like 24/7 support). - Promotions are given to the best ass-kisser, not to the best fit for a management role. - Work/life balance suffers. - Management writes off all employee dissatisfaction to a "suffering economy" and new regulatory requirements "making" us all work more.
