Process

First, a recruiter determines if you are qualified for a phone screen. If you are selected for a 45-minute phone screen by the immediate supervisor, you are competing with about a dozen people for one of three interview spots. If you pass the phone screen, you get an in-person interview with the supervisor, their manager, and the manager's manager. It seemed a very fair process, even though I did not win the role.

Questions

What are the differences between Barker's notation, the Backus–Naur Form, and the Bachman diagram? Which database design techniques do I prefer?
