The recruiter I spoke to was quite rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. She was looking for boxes to check off instead of multi-faceted humans who think critically.
I had an interview with a VP in Corporate Recruiting for a technical (SSRS & Python analytics/BI) role I applied for at the Thousand Oaks office. She emailed me and scheduled time for a phone screening. A couple of days later, on the day of the phone screening, our time rolled by, and I had to email her to see if the interview was still happening, 15 minutes after the time we scheduled. She didn't respond but then I got a call shortly after. She dove straight into questions. There was no apology whatsoever for calling late. I had blocked off specific time for this call. It's obvious she doesn't respect candidates' time.
After that fumble, she continued on with her brash line of questioning. She clearly doesn't understand anything about the role she's recruiting for and ended the call very dismissively. It's clear Bank of America is looking for brain-dead idiots that fit into their strict, predefined checkboxes.
Bad experience. I doubt I'll be applying for any job at Bank of America any time soon, especially if this is the way they treat their Software Developers.
Anyways, NEXT. Their loss, not mine.
