Tech Lead Interview Experience - Singapore

Process

The interview went unprofessionally. I was referred by my friend, and the interview was scheduled without checking my availability. Later, the interview was rescheduled, and I saw a different interviewer on the panel. The interviewer started asking me all random technical questions that came to his mind. The interview was one-sided; the interviewer asked a question and then stared at me. There was no clarity in the questions asked in my specialization (he might have done some Google searches before coming to the interview).

Later, the hiring manager asked questions about project experience, development process, tools, etc. It was a nice experience.

Questions

Technical: Java memory management, class loaders, Garbage collection, WAR vs. EAR, Locks used in ConcurrentHashMap, Bean lifecycle, Spring Boot version, how do you deploy a Spring Boot app, etc.

Non-technical: Project process, team size, CI/CD, production deployment cycles, roles and responsibilities, etc.
