Pros

Good pay. Some coworkers are good.

Cons

They will always say they treat contractors like teammates, but not really, especially if you’re not in the manager's "boy group" favoritism.

Contract cut short due to budget cuts, although they promised converting from contract to hire. And of course, they found ridiculous reasons to lay you off to make you feel bad and think that it’s not their fault.

One of the lead engineers doesn’t even have strong (or decent) programming skills. He didn’t even know some basic concepts and tried arguing with you to change code into what he felt was the "only" way he felt safe. All he did was chase after others, asking how to do certain things.

Advice to Management

Treat contractors like real teammates
