Conservative place. Joined after working with a much younger company and appreciate the change in pace. In terms of what I've learned and been exposed to, the bank has exceeded my expectations on every measure. You learn some patience and optimism, and there are interesting problems to tackle around every corner.
Quality control varies by team, but is improving. The UX renaissance is hitting internal applications now, and working on the frontend, this means there are a lot of opportunities.
From upper-upper management, the Simplify and Improve Initiatives are great. The focus is on bringing consistency, reducing redundant systems, and valuing usability.
Delivering projects from these initiatives is nice, because end users are getting real value at the other end.
