IT is mired in its own politics versus focusing on business needs. This has become so pervasive that folks are more interested in building vaporware with big-sounding words than building something that helps the company become more successful.
Get back to producing for the business and providing a way for IT to be judged on that, more than their own political structure.

Software Engineer
It was one round with two calls. Each was 25 minutes. They really tried rushing you as you spoke, and the questions were mainly behavioral. They also dove into your resume and past experiences.
