I was interviewed at BlackRock on June 25, 2024, in London. I applied online and received an email from a recruiter to select a time for a live coding challenge with one of their engineers.

This round had two questions.

• The first was a HackerRank coding challenge of medium difficulty. It was fairly manageable if you are good with loops and collections. I took some time to understand the problem, as HackerRank questions are always lengthy.
• The second question was on system design, where you had to design a bank API/application from end-to-end. This was an open-ended question. You might need to practice whiteboard sessions a bit before attending this.
