I interviewed at Blackrock in May 2017. They think they are Google and thus they conduct 7-8 interviews.
First, they had me complete 3 rounds: one coding and two phone technical interviews. Then, they informed me that the position had been filled via an internal reference.
Next, they told me they would interview me for a different team. I then had video technical interviews for the whole day with 8 people, one-on-one, based in NY and Wilmington. After that, they said the hiring manager was still remaining and would be available the day after tomorrow. Finally, I had one more round with the hiring manager for 50 minutes.
They then emailed me that the reviews were very positive and then vanished. I emailed them to at least provide a rejection email, but still no reply. It sucks as I wasted like 5 days with them. I at least deserve a general automatic email confirming rejection. Very unprofessional.
