Friendly and helpful co-workers: Everyone worked well together and was willing to help out whenever needed.
Independence: My managers really trusted me and allowed me to complete projects on my own, which is saying a lot considering I was a student co-op.
Most of the work I did was monotonous, so the tasks became boring very quickly. But as I learned more and finished my daily tasks quicker, my supervisor gave me more interesting work.
Do not be afraid to hire students with little industry experience (at least for internships and co-ops).
I had no industry experience (had not yet even completed any of my finance classes at the time), and I learned a lot and was able to contribute.
I interviewed at Blackrock in May 2017. They think they are Google and thus they conduct 7-8 interviews. First, they had me complete 3 rounds: one coding and two phone technical interviews. Then, they informed me that the position had been filled vi
The first round was a HackerRank coding challenge, mainly testing data structure concepts. After a week, they scheduled a video interview with four 45-minute rounds. It started with a session with the manager, who went through a resume walkthrough
First, I took the HackerRank test. I passed it, and then I was called for an interview at the company site. There were four rounds of interview, each 45 minutes long. The questions covered my resume, and there were also some behavioral questions.
