Surprisingly, BlackRock has one of the best tech cultures in the whole finance industry. It's a great place to start a career in finance or FinTech, and there are plenty of resources to learn. Lots of good benefits, such as 401k matching.
Salary is not competitive with other pure tech companies. There could be many bottlenecks as you become more senior. But just keep in mind, other companies may not be as good as you think.
