Lots of different tech to be exposed to, exciting financial knowledge to obtain.
Politics, like the Roman Republican Senate. Lack of good technical expertise at mid-level engineers. I've seen my fair share of NullPointerException and catching generic exceptions go through PRs.
Hiring contractors on the other side of the world might reduce costs in the short term, but definitely not in the long term. Please invest more in a location or two and invest in expanding that team organically.
