The rotation program is good for a variety of experience. Depending on the team, work hours in the APG team could be short. Most people here in SF leave between 5-6. Work is not too stressful.
Nap room is pretty neat.
Don't really have lots of technically challenging projects. In fact, I wasn't even given SWE work for the past few months despite being in the APG group. I worked more like a business operations person.
If you are not in finance, you feel like a second-class citizen.
They significantly underpay you compared to other tech companies in the Bay Area. After I left the company, my salary doubled.
Micromanagement is everywhere. Senior managers walk around on the floor to see how hard people are working every day, how many hours of face time they show, etc.
No perks. No free lunch or dinner, or anything.
Very finance-y culture. They watch how you dress every day and when you show up to the office. Super hierarchical. You only get to do what your manager tells you to do, in the way they want it done, if you are a junior person.
I wouldn't recommend anyone who's a software engineer to work here.
Fit into the SF culture a bit more. Give engineers more credit, compensation, and freedom.
I just took the first round of the tech interview. The first problem was easy, but the second was quite difficult. The third was a behavioral question. The prompt wasn't too clear for the questions, and there wasn't a feedback section.
Applied through the company website. One round of phone screening and four rounds of virtual onsite. Two final interviews with MD. Overall, the process was fairly quick, with two weeks in between each step.
I had a great interview. I was told in an email that they would extend the offer. After that email, there was no response. I emailed multiple times for an update, but received no response from anyone over weeks.
