Pros

The people are the reason to work here. There are a lot of good people. The good hiring practice has dropped off, but there are still plenty of great people.

Cons

It has become a management-heavy organization. There are a lot of managers focusing only on staying above their reports. A recent transaction with BGI and a very aggressive attitude towards those employees has put a damper on the culture and enjoyment of working here.

Advice to Management

Restructure. Focus on the employees at the bottom who are really making things work. As I've been working here, I make it a point to continue to work with people "below" me and try to make sure that they can advance their careers. Also, "Single Platform" is a big crock. Focus on creating a great, scalable architecture that meets the needs of the company. Pretending to have a single platform is really hurting the ability to grow and scale.
