Decent Pay, Toxic Politics

Pros: Not much. You make decent pay and are fully remote.
Cons: Directionless company with incredibly weak, racially homogenous leadership. Some of the most atrocious politics I've ever seen in my career - the situation has become even worse since Jack took over as CEO of Square.
New CTO is way in over their head and known to disappear for weeks on end. WLB is non-existent post-reorgs.

Pros: Relatively transparent company. As a software engineer, the tech stacks are quite robust and should scratch any itch you might have.
Cons: That past year and a half has felt quite a bit more turbulent than usual.
