Senior Data Engineer Interview Experience - San Francisco, California
Process
First, there was a 20-minute call with HR. After that, a technical phone interview followed, covering both coding (Python) and SQL skills. Following the phone interview, I was invited to an on-site interview.
The on-site interview consisted of five consecutive 45-minute sessions:
- Coding (Python)
- SQL (Whiteboard)
- Database design (schema design and query writing)
- Lunch interview
- Interview with the PM
All parts were very good; the interviewers were friendly and helpful. I felt neither pressure nor anything negative. The only negative aspect is that Square hasn't reimbursed me yet (I flew from another state), although the on-site interview was two months ago.
