This was one of the worst interview processes I had ever experienced. The interviewer was a junior developer and had literally no interview experience. I helped him to facilitate the interview. The question was quite simple, and we had about 10 minutes left at the end of the interview. I asked him if he wanted me to improve the solution by pointing out possible improvement points. However, he said that he was happy with the outcome. After a few days, I received feedback stating the interviewer could not collect enough data points and had some concerns because I was not 100% familiar with the online interview tool they used. This was the most interesting criterion I have ever heard of for an interview.
Eventually, we did not continue the process. But the process was very unprofessional from beginning to end.
A very simple algorithm and data structure.
