Pros: Work-life balance is great, as well as the remote work policy. The transfer process is quick and easy when moving to different locations.

Pros: Collaboration: As an engineer, I got to work with an incredibly diverse set of people within the company. Mission and purpose: The company is on a great mission, and we believe in it. Intellectually challenging and engaging: I was challenged daily and have learned a lot from people around me. Open culture: Even entry-level employees are entrusted with an incredible amount of information and responsibility. Great food: I have eaten at almost all large tech companies in the Valley, and Square is one of the best.

Cons: - No 401k matching

Pros: It has a very open culture, and for the five years that I was there, I really enjoyed the work I did for the most part. Even though I got laid off, I do think the company's direction in terms of really leaning in on AI and focusing more on its core product offerings is the right approach.

Cons: There was a lot of company BS, and leadership would constantly change direction. There was a huge obsession with afterpay and crypto that did not pan out.
