Process
The first step was a 1-hour phone interview, which included a HackerRank assessment. The interviewer was extremely polite and seemed very interested in my working experience. He provided a lot of hints when I got stuck.
The questions were C++ related (basic knowledge) and covered basic algorithm knowledge, but I failed because I wasn't prepared.
Questions
Spot the errors in a C++ program.
Basic stuff:
- Constant function trying to change class members.
- Static function trying to change a non-static data member.
- Object slicing.
- Virtual method called in constructor.

Pros: A lot of good people to work with, technically talented and diverse. A lot of interesting problems to solve in finance and technology (although this will vary by the team you're on - derivatives in my case). Compensation and benefits are pretty good.
Cons: For someone interested in working in finance, it can be a bit stifling since FSDs tend to get a bit roughshod into their technical roles.

Pros: The company offers competitive pay and a great benefits package that is better than investment banks.
There is free food.
The people working there are friendly, smart, and generally easy-going compared to people at investment banks.
More job security than investment banks.
Fast-paced work environment and some very interesting work.
Ability and talent, not seniority, are recognized and rewarded.
Training program for new grads.
Cons: The work culture is very unique, with some strict rules.
It's much bigger now than 5 years ago, and profit sharing is no longer that lucrative.
Some of the senior management's decisions are difficult to grasp.
