Financial Software Developer Interview Experience - New York, New York

Process

Applied through a college career fair. Received an email to schedule a phone interview. The questions were pretty standard coding questions; I'd refer to CareerCup. Had an on-site call to New York. They were kind of cheap on travel and food. Both my interviewers were Canadians and very friendly. They kept dropping hints throughout the process when I was stuck.

Questions

I was given a tree of 3 levels and a number representing the level. My task was to code a program that would print the nodes on that specific level in the tree.

I was also given a 1-byte unsigned integer (Uint) and asked to match it against a pattern of 10101 bits within the Uint's content, using a function called getbits().
