It was standard procedure. First, a phone interview, and then an interview at their headquarters in NYC. It wasn't particularly difficult. I enjoyed the trip to NYC.

They asked me brain teasers, some programming questions in C++, and some algorithms questions.

Cons: Bloomberg is a very diverse organization with a very loosely defined management structure, so pretty much everything differs among the various teams. I would say that I am lucky to be working in a team with whom I get along really well. My advice would be that you should choose your team carefully when joining Bloomberg.

Pros: Open door and transparent policy. Very intelligent and motivated people, with the ability to take ownership and be proactive. Awesome training program for fresh students. Very generous benefits, great snacks, and a nice working environment.

Cons: Very aggressive culture; it might take a while to get used to. It can be very busy sometimes, and overtime is expected.
