We had a phone interview two weeks ago. They asked me some basic questions on C++:
- Constructor (ctor)
- Destructor (dtor)
- Static keyword
- How to call C code
Algorithm:
- Big O notation
- Hash tables
- Bubble sort
Database (DB):
- Transactions
Multithreading:
- Deadlocks
- Race conditions
- Mutexes
I am still waiting for the result.
Questions
Write a function that performs a string reverse.
Develop a two-pass, pointers-only solution using a char* of the following form:

Pros: Some very intelligent and interesting people to work with. A fair meritocracy where good work is generally rewarded. Stocked pantry and working in NYC.
Cons: Generally outdated technology, the Fortran codebase was still widely used. Sometimes redundant work and projects occurred. It is very important which group you are in, as this will determine your overall happiness.

Pros: Open communication and a flexible work environment on the software development side. Great offices and very good perks. Very fair (good) compensation. A startup-like approach to handling new projects.
Cons: The work hours are fairly inflexible. Working from home is very much discouraged. The employee time tracking system is fairly annoying, and there's no flexibility on the amount of holidays you take.

Good perks when it comes to healthcare.
Also, you can take part in a lot of philanthropic stuff.
Cons: Bloomberg has a lot of proprietary stuff, which makes it difficult to keep up with the ever-changing open-source world.
