Process

After submitting my applications, I received an invitation for a phone screen interview with a software engineer at Bloomberg.

The phone interview was not too difficult. They asked many basic C++ questions, such as:

  • What are the differences between an array and a pointer?
  • What are the differences between the stack and the heap in memory?
  • What is a static variable?

For the coding part, I was asked to implement a function to generate the Fibonacci sequence.

After the phone screen interview, they invited me to a face-to-face interview. The questions were not too hard, covering some basic C++ concepts and algorithms. However, I did not perform well during the face-to-face interview.

Questions
