Process
I had a phone interview on the HackerRank platform. The interviewer was nice and asked two very basic technical questions. Overall, it was a good experience.
I was contacted later that week to be told they had just filled their intern positions, so apply early!

Challenging but Stimulating

Pros: Fantastic support for continuing education, excellent location, interesting work, good benefits package including private healthcare, open pay reviews, and a clear bonus structure. Supports the community and encourages involvement with local schools and charities.
10-week training program to get you up and contributing the minute you join your team.
Cons: Long hours, high pressure. The atmosphere occasionally can seem unsupportive. It uses in-house tech rather than common architectures/databases, which can be frustrating to some. It's not ideal if you are more interested in Quant-style work or disinterested in the finance industry.

A much better place to work for a Software Developer than most organizations

Pros: Good learning - something new to learn every day.
Good management - easy to communicate with higher management and business.
Salaries/Bonuses/Healthcare/Incentives - among the best in the country.
Very beautiful office - this definitely counts in liking your job.
Opportunities for fast growth.
20 vacation days - much better than many companies.
Cons: Hectic. Need to slog sometimes.
Some legacy code to be dealt with at times, but this depends on the team.
No cubicles, just desks. This makes it hard for personal matters, like checking your emails or answering personal calls. And your manager, his manager, his manager – all eyes are on you.
Manhattan: Commuting time is high.

Best working environment in the financial industry

Pros: Bloomberg has the best working environment in the financial industry. It has a pantry in all buildings; the desk is large and the light is bright. It offers relatively flexible hours and a policy for working from home.
Cons: Relatively old technologies (improving quickly).
Legacy stuff (same for most old companies in the financial industry).
Laid back (some people have been in the company for many years).
