Process

Applied online. Got an e-mail from recruiter asking for coding phone screen about one month later. Screen seemed to go poorly. I forget the question but it was a simple alg and data structures question. Then got invited for an onsite. They fly you in and give a car service to your residence. I'm a New Yorker but go to school out of state so I just took this to my apartment. Interview day starts off with a tour. You will be there with several other candidates, maybe about 15-20 others. Interviews were all technical. Not many behavioral questions at all. So know your algorithms and data structures questions by heart. Questions included reversing a circular linked list, finding a maximal run within an array (dynamic programming, Kadane's algorithm) and randomizing an array (shuffling, in a sense). There are 3 rounds, and if they don't like you by the second you will politely be told your interview is done for the day and you will hear from them soon. This happened to me. All in all a very glossy place with tons of cool things - free food, Charlie Rose is taped there, circular escalators, glass everything, koi ponds - but came off as a really impersonal company that doesn't really care. A very New York vibe, if you will. Glitzy, rich, fast, pretty, and rude.

Questions

Maximum subarray problem.
